Get help with online job searching Nov 17
Job searching these days can create a difficult Catch 22: Many employers only list and accept applications online, but many job seekers are without a home computer or even computer skills.
That’s where the library’s Job Smart U comes in. At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 17, Online Job Searching, will be offered in the McLane Room in the library’s lower level.
Presenter Linda Sarauer will cover many aspects of online job searching, such as where to look, filling out applications, how to research a company and how to respond to sensitive questions. Sarauer is an employment counselor and career advisor with the Job Center of Wisconsin in Fond du Lac.
Attendance is limited to 12 persons using library computers, and registration is required for these 12 spots. There also will be room for persons bringing their own laptops. Light refreshments will be provided.
