In plenty of time for St. Patty’s Day party planning, the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Breads of the World series will offer Irish soda bread at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, in the Idea Studio demonstration kitchen. The class is free; registration is required.
The Fond du Lac Public Library, with help from its friends, will provide guidance, support and tips needed to make 2017 a great year with its Fresh Start series at 1 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month through April. All Fresh Start programs will be held in the library’s Idea Studio in the lower level. All are free; no registration required.
The Fond du Lac Public Library’s popular History at Home series on February 16 will feature the start of a new, quarterly event for 2017: Fond du Lac Picture Shows. At 2 p.m. and repeated at 6 p.m., Tracy Reinhardt of the Fond du Lac County Historical Society will share a slideshow of archival photos of the great parades in the area’s past.
Using special vibrant inks, crafters at the 1 p.m. Saturday, February 19, Crafternoon class will make a beautiful watercolor-inspired alcohol-ink glass. The free program will be held in the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio. All supplies provided.

The Cindy Barden Teachers' Resource Center opened last May in the Children's Room. The center was made possible through an endowment set up by her family through the Fond du Lac Area Foundation to remember Barden, who passed away in 2014.
