Growing, using herbs class on May 14

Master gardener and herbalist Lynette Liepert will present Growing and Using Culinary Herbs at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The program is free; no registration required.

Liepert – who professes, “an herb is a plant with a purpose!” – will discuss the whys, hows, whats, wheres and whens of growing and using culinary herbs. Her presentation will include garden design and historical use of culinary herbs.

Liepert, who has been a Fond du Lac County master gardener since 1998 and garden mentor since 2000, is a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Natural Foods Assoc. and an approved organic grower since 1993. She’s been a practicing herbalist since 1984.
