WI Regional Art Show Aug 6-Sept 3

The Fond du Lac Public Library Langdon Divers Gallery is the site of the annual Wisconsin Regional Art Program (WRAP) show August 6 through September 3.

Now in its 74th year, WRAP provides statewide art workshops and exhibits for nonprofessional artists. It encourages creative growth through community exhibits, learning opportunities and group critiques and evaluation discussions.

The public is invited to an artists’ reception at 4:30 p.m. Friday, August 15, in conjunction with the downtown Fond du Lac Tour the Town downtown art walk. Refreshments will be served.

On Saturday, August 23, the public is invited to a WRAP workshop and critique. Artist Dale Knaak of Sheboygan Visual Arts will present Working with a Palette Knife workshop from 10 a.m. to noon in the library’s McLane Meeting Room. After a lunch break, Knaak will offer a critique of the pieces in the exhibit from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Both sessions are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The Fond du Lac WRAP exhibit is sponsored by Fond du Lac Artists’ Association; for more information, call (920) 322-0495. The library’s gallery is a showcase for local and regional artists. The space is curated by volunteer artist Susan Fiebig, who can be contacted at [email protected].
