Memory Cafe celebrates celebrations Feb 23

Persons with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia, their caregivers and family members are invited to monthly Alzheimer’s Association Memory Cafés held at 1 p.m. the fourth Thursday of the month at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The programs are free; no registration required. Each month features a new theme:

  • Feb 23: Anniversaries, birthdays and celebrations. Celebrate years, gifts, one another and our shared journey. Why wait for one special day? There are plenty of wild, wonderful and wacky days spread throughout the year.
  • Coming Mar 23: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Remember Fred Astaire singing, “You like potato, I like potahto. You like tomato, I like tomahto?” Play word games, brainstorm by mixing and matching and making up new words.

Memory Cafés are sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association; Legacies: Family and Organizational Historians; and the Fond du Lac Public Library. For more information about Memory Cafés or Alzheimer's disease, contact the Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 Helpline at (800) 272-3900.
