Couple explains 'How We Made It' Jul 19

Jamie Kratz-Gullickson was intrigued by a project in Sweden that used video games to raise money for charities. Frustrated by failed efforts to acquire a machine, she put her head together with husband Jason Gullickson. They designed and built Donor 1, which currently sits inside the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio.

The couple, from Beaver Dam, will present How We Made It, at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, in the lower level Idea Studio. The program is free; no registration required. They’ll walk through the process they used to research, design, build and test their console, which made its debut at the Dodge County YMCA in April.

Donor 1 will remain in the Idea Studio until it travels to Maker Faire Milwaukee in late September. The console offers dozens of retro video games for 50 cents a play; proceeds will support library programming.
