Stop in, make a tile in the Idea Studio

Local artist Kathryn Dreifuerst is the first-ever summer resident at the Idea Studio in the Fond du Lac Public Library. The painter, sculptor and potter invites the public to stop in during her studio hours to create an original clay tile. Dreifuerst will fire all the tiles and install them in a community mosaic at the library.

Tile-making will take place 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays July 25 and August 1, and 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturdays July 22 and August 5. Tile-making is free; all supplies provided. No registration required.

The Idea Studio is the library’s permanent do-it-yourself zone in the lower level with equipment to use for free and DIY programming. Extended summer hours (through September 1): 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. More information is available at www.fdlpl.org/ideastudio and on the studio’s Facebook and Instagram pages, found at Idea Studio FDLPL.
