Artist Kolstad to teach card art Nov 18

Noted local artist Mel Kolstad will be guest instructor at the 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18, Crafternoon programs at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Kolstad, a collage and mixed media artist, will walk crafters through a fun and easy process of using Citra-Solv, a non-toxic and all-natural cleaner, with clippings from National Geographic magazines to make beautiful, one-of-a-kind holiday greeting cards. All supplies provided. The free programs are identical and open to adults and teens age 13 and older. Space is strictly limited. No walk-ins or under-aged children allowed. Registration is required and begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 4, at the Calendar.

Kolstad works as an artist and instructor throughout Wisconsin. She’s been an active member in the Wisconsin art scene since 2007, and has shown around the country and abroad since 2009. Kolstad serves as volunteer curator of the library’s Langdon Divers Gallery. She makes her home in Fond du Lac with her husband, Brian.
