FDL Artists’ Association show Nov 1-Dec 5

The Fond du Lac Artists’ Association will hold its annual membership show from November 1 to December 5 at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Langdon Divers Gallery.

Featured in the show is 2017 Artist of the Year, Patricia Kaiser, who works in a variety of media. Throughout the show, the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite piece, and the winner will be crowned with the People’s Choice award.

The public also is invited to a reception 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 9, in the gallery; refreshments will be served. Concurrently, a critique of the show’s works will take place in the McLane Meeting Room at the library. Both programs are free; no registration required.

The nonprofit artists’ association was formed in 1968 with the mission of encouraging creative growth of area artists and youth and promoting community awareness of local visual artists. The group has about 70 members working in a wide range of media: painting, photography, ceramics, pottery, wood turning and mixed media.

The gallery’s volunteer curator is local artist Mel Kolstad, who can be contacted at [email protected]. For more information, visit the gallery’s Facebook page at facebook.com/langdondivers.
