‘State of Craft Beer’ author event Dec 9

Author Matthew Janzen will sell and sign copies of his coffee table book, The State of Craft Beer, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, December 9, at Chapter 52 Bookstore, located next to the Fond du Lac Public Library at 52 Sheboygan St.

State of Craft Beer captures, with photos and stories, every aspect of the craft beer industry, from the fields and factories to the brewing process. Janzen wrote the book after ditching his job as a copywriter at a Milwaukee-based advertising agency to pursue his passion: beer. Camera in hand, he traversed Wisconsin to learn more about the craft beer scene. His book, produced entirely in Wisconsin, focuses on the hard-working brewing community and the state industries that keep it buzzing.

Chapter 52 Bookstore sells used books, movies, music and magazines for all ages at deep discounts. Bookstore hours: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 2-6 p.m.; Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call (920) 322-3957 or visit www.fdlpl.org/chapter52.
