January kids’ events

It might be nasty out, but never fear, there’s plenty for kids to do inside at the Fond du Lac Public Library in January. All programs are free. For all, children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult:

  • Slime Science. 6 p.m. Thursday, January 11, and repeated at 6 p.m. Thursday, January 25. For kids ages 8-12. Make, play, learn and celebrate the awesomeness of slime. The two programs are identical. Registration (for one program, please) is required and starts at 9 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, at at fdlpl.org, click Calendar, or (920) 322-3940.
  • Playdate at the Library. Starting January 15 and every Monday 9:30-11:30 a.m. For young children and caregivers. Just drop in to have fun with toys and activities. No registration.
  • Storytimes resume Tuesday, January 16. No registration. The schedule:
    •  Toddler: Ages 2 & younger. 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
    • Preschool: Ages 3-5. 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays
    • Evening: All ages. 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays
  • Spy School. 4 p.m. Friday, January 19. For kids ages 8-12. Ever dreamed about living the spy life? Learn super-sleuth detective skills. No registration.
  • Family Dance Party 10 a.m. Saturday, January 20. Work off those winter blues with a silly dance party for the whole family. An hour of music and movement, exploring songs, dances and fun instruments. For kids ages 3-8 and families. No registration.
