Make neck warmer Jan 24 or 25

Learn to make a warm reversible neck warmer while getting trained on either the sewing machine or the serger in separate classes at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio. Students must bring their own fabric. The free classes are open to adults and teens age 13 and older. Registration is required for either class:

1 p.m. Wednesday, January 24: Get trained on the Idea Studio sewing machine then sew the neck warmer. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, at fdlpl.org, click Calendar.

Or:

1 p.m. Thursday, January 25: Get trained on the Idea Studio serger then sew the neck warmer. Sergers are specialized sewing machines that use multiple needles to create finished and trimmed seams. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 11, at fdlpl.org, click Calendar.

Attendees are required to bring their own fabric; details are available at the online Calendar and in a handout available at the Idea Studio.

The Idea Studio makerspace is permanent do-it-yourself zone in the library’s lower level with equipment to use for free and DIY programming. Hours: Monday through Thursday, 3-8 p.m.; Friday 3-6 p.m.; and every second and fourth Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More information is available at www.fdlpl.org/ideastudio or by calling (920) 322-3946 during studio open hours.
