Makeathon! at Idea Studio Jan 6

The Idea Studio at the Fond du Lac Public Library will kick off the New Year with Makeathon! From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 6, makers, hackers, doers, shakers of all disciplines age 13 and older are invited to gather and create. Makeathon! is free; no registration required. Children under age 13 are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Light refreshments will be provided.

Makeathon! operates on the principle that putting makers and doers in the proximity of one another can inspire and energize, create breakthroughs on problems, spark new ideas and provide learning opportunities.

The Idea Studio will be open for normal use, as well, on January 6. The studio is the library’s makerspace, a permanent do-it-yourself zone in the lower level with equipment to use for free and DIY programming. It’s open 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. More information is available at www.fdlpl.org/ideastudio and on the studio’s Facebook and Instagram pages, found at Idea Studio FDLPL.
