Learn 3-D design with TinkerCAD Mar 10 & 22

To help 3-D printer buffs get more fun out of the cool machines, the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio is offering two sessions teaching 3-D design on TinkerCAD at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, and repeated at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 22. TinkerCAD is a free web-based 3-D computer-aided design application designed for beginners.

No prerequisites are required, but users must have received training on the Idea Studio’s 3-D printers to print their designs. The classes are free and open to adults and teens aged 13 and older. Space is limited, and registration is required at the Calendar.

The Idea Studio makerspace is a permanent do-it-yourself zone in the library’s lower level with equipment to use for free and DIY programming. The Idea Studio is open 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. More information is available at www.fdlpl.org/ideastudio and on the studio’s Facebook and Instagram pages, found at Idea Studio FDLPL.
