Friends celebrate 30th anniversary Apr 12

The Friends of the Fond du Lac Public Library will celebrate their 30th anniversary with an annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the library. The public is invited to hear a presentation by library Youth Services Coordinator Sarah Newton. A special anniversary cake will be served. The program is free; no registration required.

The Friends of the Fond du Lac Library is a non-profit organization that promotes and encourages the use of library services by fundraising, supporting special events and providing programs for the community. Their signature fundraiser, The Browser Open mini golf event, took place on March 18.

After a brief business meeting, Newton will talk about the special relationship between the Friends and the library and the value of the Friends’ support for programs such as summer reading.
