Persons with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia, their caregivers and family members are invited to monthly Alzheimer’s Association Memory Cafés held at 1 p.m. at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The themed programs are free; no registration required. Programs coming up:

  • January 24: Baby, it’s cold outside. We’ll stay in and paint snowflakes using a dot mandala pattern. All supplies provided. No experience needed.
  • February 28: So many February holidays. Groundhog Day, Fat Tuesday, Presidents Day, Valentine’s Day, to name a few.
  • March 28: Music and memories. We’ll discuss the effect music has on our brains and how music can promote pleasant memories.
  • April 25: Jokes, jokes, jokes. Come with some of your favorites, and we’ll discover some together. Be prepared to laugh!

Memory Cafés are sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association; Legacies: Family and Organizational Historians; and the Fond du Lac Public Library. For more information about Memory Cafés or Alzheimer's disease, contact the Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 Helpline at (800) 272-3900.
