2017 Money Smart Week

Kickoff event: Women's Conference, Saturday, April 22, at Moraine Park Technical College. Download the schedule and registration form. Featuring keynote speaker Karen Kelley of Kelley Country Creamery. Her talk: Perseverance Pays Off, her story of entrepreneurship, which started years before the creamery opened. Karen surmounted many obstacles along the way but remained dedicated to her dream of creating world-class ice cream. Attendees will enjoy samples of her delicious product.
MSW featured speaker: Adam Carroll, internationally recognized financial literacy expert, author of Winning the Money Game, two-time TED talk speaker and founder of MoneySavvy.com. Carroll is creator of the Broke, Busted & Disgusted documentary about the true cost of college. Carroll's
passion is helping people succeed faster by building a bigger life, not a bigger lifestyle.
He'll offer three distinct Money Smart Week programs, all on Wed Apr 26. All are free.
- Noon-1 pm @ Marian University: Your Dream Job is Waiting. Learn how to build social capital to become an expert super connector to land your dream job.
- 3:30-5:30 pm @ THELMA Center for the Arts: Networking P.O.W.E.R. How you leverage your network can have dramatic effect on your bottom line. Held in conjunction with Young Professionals of FDL; open to the public. Cash bar available. Register at ypfdl.org.
- 6-7:30 pm @ Fond du Lac Public Library: Money Savvy Habits to Build a Dream Life. Our lives tend to be over-scheduled and overwhelming. Learn how to minimize your expenses, eliminate debt and build savings. Commit to make, manage and grow your wealth.
