Do you love to create? Make your own mini-masterpiece for the Fond du Lac Public Library’s new Tiny Art Contest.

Artists of all ages are invited to submit their best work on a 4-inch-by-4-inch canvas by April 29 for a chance to win a prize.

Supply your own canvas, or pick up one of a limited number of free canvases from the library. Reserve a canvas at calendar.fdlpl.org starting March 18 on a first-come, first-served basis, and then pick yours up at the library’s Help Desk.

Pieces can be turned in at the Help Desk on the first floor of the Main Library from April 22 to April 29. Canvases must be turned in before the library closes on Monday, April 29 at 8 p.m.; one entry per person.

Winners will be selected in four age categories: 0-5 (Littles), 6-12 (Kids), 13-18 (Teens), and 19+ (Adults). Prizes issued in each category include Best in Show and Library Staff Choice.

What should go on the canvas? Whatever you can imagine. Use any medium or supplies (not food or perishables) to create your masterpiece, as long as it fits the 4x4 canvas. Artwork and titles of artwork must be appropriate for all ages.

Need supplies to create your masterpiece? Stop by the Idea Studio to use library supplies during regular Idea Studio hours: Monday through Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the Idea Studio.

All entries to the Tiny Art Show will be exhibited in the Langdon Divers Community Gallery from May 1 to June 4.
