Book Clubs at the Fond du Lac Public Library
The Fond du Lac Public Library is excited to support local book clubs!
The library provides:
- Free meeting spaces for book clubs
- Connecting your club with potential new members via our Book Club Board
- Extra copies of popular Book Club titles that checkout for 60 days
- The ability for each member to checkout their own copy or for one member to checkout multiple copies for everyone in the group
- Discussion guides for locally popular discussion books, accessible on our website or printed at a service desk
- Access to books from other libraries through an extensive inter-library loan list.
Let us know if there is a title you are searching for that is outside of our collection: fdl-ill@fdlpl.org
How it works:
Obtaining copies of the book
Find our book club titles here:
In the catalog, search “book club kit”. Limit by Shelf Location or Audience if you are seeking books for a particular age level.
The cardholder checking out the item(s), is the person who should place a hold on the item(s).
If one member is checking out copies for all book club members, they should place multiple copies on hold.
Book Club titles checkout for 60 days, with one renewal (if no one else is waiting) and no late fees. Cardholders will be billed for lost items more than 30 days past their due date.
Meeting Space
The library offers 3 different meeting rooms to host events.
- Shared Office Space, 2nd floor, 8-10 people.
- Seefeld Room, 2nd floor, 8-10 people.
- Community Room, lower level, up to 20 people.

Accepting new members? We can help!
- Share your group's information for the Library’s Book Club Board. Provide the name of your group, a brief description of the types of books your group reads, the day and time of your regular meetings, and your contact information (which we will not post or distribute).
- Community members interested in joining your club can leave their contact information with Library staff.
- Library staff will forward the person’s information to you so you can contact them!
Find a book club
- Check the library’s event calendar for an upcoming library sponsored book discussion. All book club events are free and open to the public.
- Check out our Book Club Board listing local book groups that are accepting new members.
- Find a group that interests you and give staff your contact information. We will share your information with the Book Club and they will contact you with their meeting details and current book selection.
