Details about all Fond du Lac Public Library events are found at the Calendar. All programs are free. Children under age 8 must have an adult with them at all times.
Programs for kids:
- Costume Swap Drop-off: All September long. Drop off clean, gently used costumes for kids and teens (no wigs or opened makeup). For each costume, the donor will receive a voucher for a full costume at the swap event on Saturday, October 6, 10 a.m.-noon. Read the guidelines.
- Family Lego Night: 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 13 (new day). All ages. Drop in to play with regular Legos and Duplos for younger siblings. No registration.
- Storytimes resume Tuesday, September 18:
- Evening Storytime: 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays (new day). All ages. A fun, 30-minute romp with lots of songs, engaging books and more.
- Toddler Storytime: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Ages 2 and younger. Twenty minutes of Storytime followed by 20 minutes of play.
- Preschool Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Ages 3-5. Thirty minutes of fun books, songs and more.
- Talk Like a Pirate Day: 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, September 19. All ages. Arrrgh! It be a pirate celebration in the Children’s Room. Just drop in; activities should take about 30 minutes to complete.
For teens grades 6-12:
- Bad Art Night: 5-6 p.m. Thursday, September 27. Is school stressing you out? Find your Zen and create any kind of art you like. Dinner included. No library card or registration required. With door prizes.
