What happens after you flush? Water goes down the drain and then ... what exactly? Is treated water released into Lake Winnebago? Did you know the Fond du Lac wastewater treatment facility treats more than seven million gallons of water every day? Get answers for these questions and more at the 6 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at the Fond du Lac Public Library Community Chat with Wastewater Treatment and Resource Recovery Facility Superintendent Cody Schoepke. The program is free; no registration required.

Community Chat programs give residents opportunities to hear directly from local government and nonprofit organizations. Representatives share information about costs, goals, accomplishments and more. The informal programs will take place every first Thursday of the month. There will be no program on Independence Day, July 4; August 1 features Police Chief Bill Lamb, who will bring a K-9 demonstration with him.
