Health Educator Sarah Faust will discuss the county’s top health concerns at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Community Chat program at 6 p.m. Thursday, October 3. The program is free; no registration required.

Faust will walk through the county’s 2018-2021 Community Health Improvement Plan’s priorities of nutrition and physical activity, mental health and alcohol and other drug abuse. Along with outlining the strategies underway to address those priorities, Faust also will give an overview of the Fond du Lac County Health Department’s mission, vision and programs.

Faust is a certified health education specialist. She earned a bachelors in Community Health Education from UW-La Crosse. Sarah has worked at the county health department for two years.

Community Chat programs give residents opportunities to hear directly from local government and nonprofit organizations. Representatives share information about costs, goals, accomplishments and more. The informal programs will take place every first Thursday of the month. The featured speaker on November 7 will be Sandy Tryon from the Fond du Lac County Aging and Disability Resource Center.
