Deciding What’s True in a Polarized Society, 6 pm Tue Nov 12. Associate Professor Michael Wagner of the UW-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication will examine what research says about fake news, fact checking and how these and “selective exposure” to like-minded media can impact democracy. Wagner is co-author of the 2018 book, Political Behavior of the American Electorate. The session will include plenty of time for questions. Free. No registration.
