'Northwoods' children’s book author at bookstore Feb 29

Fond du Lac born and raised author Jaime Hardgrove will sell and sign copies of her vibrant new children’s book, “JJ Goes to the Northwoods,” from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 29, at Chapter 52 Bookstore, 52 Sheboygan St.
In the picture book, young JJ becomes anxious when she learns that her family is going to her grandparents’ cabin in the Northwoods. She doesn’t like bugs or wildlife, but through the loving guidance of her grandpa, who she calls Pop, JJ learns to appreciate nature and the beauty of the Northwoods.
This is Hardgrove’s first book. It was inspired by family trips to her grandparents’ cabin in Pembine, Wis. She hopes to follow up with more stories about JJ’s adventures in the woods.
Chapter 52 Bookstore is located next door to the Main Library downtown. The shop sells used books, movies, magazines and music at bargain prices.
