The Printmakers will exhibit their works February 5 through March 3 at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Langdon Divers Gallery. The public is invited to an artists’ reception 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, in the gallery. Refreshments will be served. The exhibit and reception are free; no registration required.

The group brings together 14 printmakers from around the region, working in a variety of techniques including serigraphy, drypoint, woodcut, linocut, monoprint and letterpress. Each artist brings their own spin on their technique. Printmakers members are:

  • Lisa Baltes, Waukau (drypoint, linocut)
  • Larry Basky, Plymouth (serigraphy)
  • Angie Cope, Port Washington (linocut)
  • Anoush Cowles, Fond du Lac (mixed media printmaking)
  • Joshua Cowles, Fond du Lac (drypoint/laser printmaking)
  • Kathryn Dreifuerst, Oshkosh/Fond du Lac (linocut)
  • Jamie Gullickson, Beaver Dam (mixed media printmaking)
  • Roxine McQuitty (collagraph, solar etching)
  • Heather Oetzel, Neenah (linocut)
  • Gail Panske, Oshkosh (woodcut collage)
  • Dane Pecore, Oshkosh (monoprint)
  • Shannon Piette, Appleton (drypoint)
  • Kevin Rau, Oshkosh (letterpress)
  • Angie Zimmerman, Sheboygan (woodcut)

The gallery’s curator, Mel Kolstad said, “The great thing about printmaking is that there is no limit to how an artist can express themselves using various media. If an artist were to create one image and use five different printmaking techniques, it would look completely different in each technique. The process is also as important as the product, which is why the medium is so fascinating.”
