The Fond du Lac Public Library has more than 20 of the fun and educational Launchpad electronic devices designed for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as a selection of devices for teens doing ACT and SAT test preparation.

The devices for younger children, which are easy to use, require no Wi-Fi signal and are 100% secure from online threats, may be found in the Cindy Casetta Barden Teachers’ Resource Center in the Children’s Department. Test-prep Launchpads for teens may be requested at the Circulation Desk.

Each of the child-targeted Launchpads comes loaded with 10 educational apps that will challenge young minds as they enjoy exploring a digital world.

In “Dinoriffic! Dinosaurs,” kids will discover a world of prehistoric fun as they learn new skills from basic math, to vocabulary, colors, problem-solving and more.

In “Letter treasures!” kids build a solid foundation of English and reading skills as they work their way through exercises, games, and interactive story books designed to teach them reading fundamentals and boost their confidence.

The Fond du Lac Public Library also has many other titles covering areas such as math, critical thinking skills, creativity, STEAM and more. This means children can explore a variety of educational apps at no cost.
