Question: What Wisconsin county grows about 10% of the world’s supply of ginseng? Or, do you know what the coldest temperature ever recorded was in Wisconsin?

Curious? Then Team Trivia 2021 is for you, and you won’t even need to leave your living room to play. For the first time ever, Team Trivia will be held virtually: Tuesday, April 20 and Thursday, April 22 via Zoom. The fun, 21st-annual event is a fundraiser for Fond du Lac Literacy Services.

Anyone can play Team Trivia, where teams of four put their heads together to answer questions on sports, Wisconsin, music, geography, movies, history, science and literature. And because this year’s event is virtual, invite friends and family from anywhere to play! At the end of the game, scores are tallied, and bragging rights and a small prize are given to the top-three teams.

Team registration is $100 and is due Thursday, April 15. Log-in begins at 6:15 p.m., and the quizzing begins at 6:30 p.m.

To register online – or for a downloadable registration form – visit www.fdlpl.org/events. Forms are available also at the Fond du Lac Public Library or by calling Fond du Lac Literacy Services at 920-322-3932 or email literacy@fdlpl.org

Platinum Sponsors: Radio Plus, Congregation of Sister of St. Agnes, FDL Area Foundation, Society Insurance Charitable Fund, and Grande Cheese Company.

The mission of Fond du Lac Literacy Services is to develop local adults’ reading, writing, speaking and math skills. Dedicated and trained tutors work one-on-one with students using personalized lesson plans at a pace that is comfortable for the student. Tutoring is free. The Literacy office is located at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Trivia answers: Marathon County and -55 degrees Fahrenheit (recorded in Sawyer County in 1996, and that’s without a wind chill; brrr!).
