Few issues expected as FdL Public Library’s phone service upgraded

Community members should see little impact by an upgrade that will take place Saturday, Oct. 2 to the Fond du Lac Public Library’s phone service.

During the upgrade, which is expected to occur throughout Saturday, library patrons may reach the library via its main phone numbers: 920-929-7080 for the primary line, as well as the Children’s Desk at 920-322-3940 and the Reference Desk at 920-322-3930. Curbside customers should continue to call 920-322-3920 when they park along Portland Street to alert library staff of their arrival. 

Voicemail and other library extensions will not be available during this time.

In the rare case that someone has difficulty getting through to the Fond du Lac Public Library by calling the main number, individuals are encouraged to wait a few minutes and try calling again, or emailing the library at reference@fdlpl.org.

The upgrade is expected to be complete by the end of the day Saturday, and phone extensions should return to normal by the time the library reopens Sunday.
