Adult art & craft programs grow at FDLPL in October
Fall is in the air, and the holiday season is around the corner. Take this opportunity to enjoy some of your favorite arts and crafts activities at the Fond du Lac Public Library, including a cozy class scheduled throughout the month.
The Beginning Knitting Series will be held each Thursday during the month, starting Oct. 6, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Seefeld Room. This class will be perfect both for those looking to get into knitting, or individuals who need to brush up on their skills.
Registration is required for this class; register at calendar.fdlpl.org
Several returning favorite crafting programs also will be held during October.
First, on Monday, Oct. 3, Bad Art Night returns. Celebrate the mediocre, the tacky, and the campy as you celebrate Postcard Palooza. No artistic experience (or ability) necessary; the library will provide all of the materials. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org; space will be limited.
Then, the Evening Craft Class returns on Monday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. in the McLane Room. Participants will be invited to create their own wise (and fuzzy) owls. All supplies are provided; registration required at calendar.fdlpl.org; limited space available.
Finally, Good-Natured Crafts is back on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Idea Studio. Join us for Japanese Stone Wrapping: a relaxing, creative and meditative act that’s been practiced in Japan for centuries. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org; space will be limited.
