Get creative with the Idea Studio this summer during Let's Make series
Discover all of the creative opportunities available in the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio this summer with the popular Let’s Make series. Each class has limited space, so register early for a chance to participate.
Upcoming events include:
- Sublimated Earrings: On Monday, July 17 at 6 p.m., get badged on the sublimation printer and heat press, and sublimate a pair of earrings to take home. Participants must be age 13 or older to join. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org.
- Sew a Coffee Cup Carrier: On Wednesday, July 26 at 6 p.m., for this "Make and Take" class, learn how to sew a fabric coffee cup carrier to take home. This is an intermediate skill level project class, so participants should have either previous sewing machine experience or be badged on the Idea Studio’s sewing machines. Participants must be age 13 or older to join. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org.
Want to get to know the Idea Studio better? Take a Turn through the Idea Studio on Monday, July 31 at 6 p.m. During this monthly live-demonstration tour of the makerspace, Idea Studio staff will walk participants through the Idea Studio and show off all of our equipment and what we have to offer. Projects will be set-up and ready-to-go at each station for you to see everything in action.
Group badging opportunities also are available at the Idea Studio. Check calendar.fdlpl.org for sessions as they become available.
The Idea Studio is open for walk-in visits Monday through Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
