Are you a maker, artist, musician, technologist, artisan or inventor, and have a passion for sharing that ability with others? The Idea Studio at the Fond du Lac Public Library is offering a residency opportunity for summer 2021 worth considering.

Applications for the Idea Studio Summer Residency Program will be accepted through June 11, with a decision to be announced later in the month. The program invites an individual to create and share their work while helping library patrons explore a creative pursuit through the resident’s office hours, workshops and exhibitions.

Innovative residency proposals are encouraged this year for using both virtual interaction tools and outdoor workshop venues.

Applicants must be available for seven weeks (July 12 to Aug. 30). The winning applicant will have access to the Idea Studio during the library’s open hours, limited storage for projects and materials, use of the Idea Studio space and equipment (training may be required), logistical support from Idea Studio staff and more.

A $750 stipend will be provided, and up to $500 will be reimbursed to the resident for supplies. An exhibit of their work also will occur in the library’s Langdon Divers Community Gallery during October.
