Birds of a Feather exhibit in June

The walls of Fond du Lac Public Library’s Langdon Divers Gallery will flutter to life with Birds of a Feather, a themed exhibit, June 6 to July 5. The show, organized by gallery curator Mel Kolstad, is the result of a public call to art.

About 30 artists submitted pieces in a variety of media, including embroidery, oil painting and handmade books.

The public is invited to a reception 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14; refreshments will be served. No registration required.

“Birds as an art theme is a favorite,” said Kolstad. “Not only are birds an inspiring part of our surroundings, but the theme can be interpreted in so many beautiful ways.”
