Details about all Fond du Lac Public Library events are found at the Calendar. All programs are free. Most do not require registration. Children under age 8 must have an adult with them at all times.
Programs for kids:
- Letters to Santa: Through December 4. Kids who drop their letters to Santa off at the special mailbox in the Children’s Room will get Santa’s personal reply mailed to their homes before Christmas. Form letters available. In cooperation with FDL School District Recreation Dept.
- Visit with Santa: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 5. Have fun making crafts and take a free photo with Santa. Each family will receive a free children’s holiday book, “Wonderful Winter,” by Jennifer Walters. Strolling carolers from Fond du Lac High School will help create holiday cheer. Sponsored by the FDL Evening Optimist Club. Free. No registration.
- Half-Day Party: 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, December 7. For kids in grades K-8 and their families. Half day at school? Hang out with us. Play bingo and watch “Incredibles 2” (PG). With snacks. No registration.
- Family Lego Night: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, December 13. All ages. Drop in to play with regular Legos and Duplos for younger siblings. No registration.
- (Almost) New Year’s Eve Bash: 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31. Say goodbye to 2018 with activities and a treat for kids. We’ll celebrate with noise and pizazz when we finish around 11 a.m.
For teens in grades 6-12:
- Giant Pac-Man: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 8. It’s eat or be eaten: Become a player in a life-size Pac-Man game. Free. No registration.
