Create spook-tacular projects during October's Let's Make series in the Idea Studio
Discover all of the creative opportunities available in the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio during October with the Let’s Make series and another opportunity to join the Press Club of Fond du Lac.
Most of these programs have limited space, so register early for a chance to participate.
Upcoming Let’s Make events include:
- Easy Sew Tote Bag: On Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m., get badged on the Idea Studio’s Janome sewing machines and serger while making your own tote bag. Participants must be age 13 or older to join. Register now at calendar.fdlpl.org.
- Silhouette HTV Trick or Treat Bags: On Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m., learn how to use the Silhouette Cameo 4 to customize a bag for trick-or-treating using heat transfer vinyl. Participants must be age 13 or older to join. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org starting Oct. 4.
- 3-D Printed Halloween Charms: On Monday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m., celebrate fall with 3-D magic. Get badged on the Idea Studio’s Prusa i3 MK3S printers and make some charms to take home. Register starting Oct. 16 at calendar.fdlpl.org.
The public also is invited to join the Fond du Lac Press Club (for Printmakers) on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Idea Studio. Drop in to see informal demonstrations and to learn different printing techniques to try for free. For October, Stephanie Leisering will talk about and demonstrate cyanotype printmaking, along with showing some of her own works that were made using cyanotype on fabric. No experience or registration required.
Group badging opportunities also are available at the Idea Studio. Check calendar.fdlpl.org for sessions as they become available.
The Idea Studio is open for walk-in visits Monday through Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
