If you can’t beat them, eat them: wild-food advocate Diana Beck will present Dandelions and Other Edible Weeds at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The program is free; no registration required.
Beck will look at which common weeds in our lawns and fields can be used in our diets and medicine cabinets. She’ll focus on the dandelion, a nutritional powerhouse, and provide samples of nonalcoholic dandelion cordial.
Beck is president of the Fond du Lac Audubon Society and organizer of the Dandelion Festival.
