  • Letters to Santa, through Dec. 4. Children who drop off letters to Santa at the Main Library Children’s Room by 3 p.m. Dec. 4 will get a personalized reply from Santa mailed to their homes before Christmas. Pick up a form letter or write your own. Letters to Santa is a free program of the FDL School District Recreation Department.
  • Toddler Storytimes, 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through Dec. 5. For ages 2 and under. Twenty minutes of Storytime followed by 20 minutes of play in the Storytime Room. Free. No registration.
  • Preschool Storytimes, 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays through Dec. 5. For ages 3-5. Thirty minutes of fun books, songs and more. Free. No registration.
  • Half-Day Party, 1-1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6. Half day at school? Come hang out with us. Play bingo and watch the 2019 remake of “Lion King” (PG). With snacks. For kids in grades K-8 and their families. Free. No registration.
  • Gingerbread Parties, 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Kids ages 3-12 can decorate gingerbread houses to kick off the holiday season. Families are asked to bring one bag of candy to share. Registration required; please sign up for one session only. Each child decorating their own house must be signed up. Free. Registration begins Saturday, Nov. 23, by calling 920-322-3940; in person at the Children’s Desk; or at the Calendar.
  • Visit with Santa, 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11. Enjoy a magical, free evening making holiday crafts, enjoying Fond du Lac High School carolers and taking a free photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Each family will receive a free children’s holiday book, “There Was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow!” to take home. Sponsored by the FDL Evening Optimist Club. No registration. New this year: Library staff bake sale.
  • Book Hedgies, 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. For teens in grades 6-12. Create a unique art piece with folded book art. We’ll create a basic book hedgehog; you add the flare. Supplies provided. Free. No registration.
