There are thousands of skin-care products on the market, many using unpronounceable ingredients that do who knows what. An easy way to take control of what goes on your skin – while saving money – is to do it yourself. Part two in the Fond du Lac Public Library’s DIY Skin Care series tackles body scrubs.

At 6 p.m. Monday, October 8, attendees will learn how to use everyday household ingredients to make a variety of exfoliating body scrubs. The program is free and open to adults and teens age 13 and older. Samples will be provided. Registration is required and begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 24, at the Calendar.

Soaps, 6 p.m. Monday, November 12. Learn to make soaps that don’t rely on caustic chemicals and finicky formulas. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 29, at fdlpl.org, click Calendar.

Lotions, 6 p.m. Monday, December 10. Make soothing and infinitely customizable lotions at home. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 26, at fdlpl.org, click Calendar.
