FDLPL’s Virtual Children’s Library will ‘open’ in January
The Children’s Room at Fond du Lac Public Library is a welcoming space for youth to visit. Starting in January, the library will have a similar space available online for families to enjoy.
FDLPL will introduce the Virtual Children’s Library, which will feature many resources available in the in-real-life Children’s Room as well as several web-only opportunities. Accessible from fdlpl.org, the Virtual Children’s Library will include welcoming graphics and images that children will recognize from the Children’s Room itself.
Families will be able to meet the Youth Services staff, learn about featured books, access kits in the Cindy Casetta Barden Teacher’s Resource Center, learn about the Kit of the week, link to FDLPL Kids’ YouTube Page, and more.
The page also will have direct links to FDLPL’s catalog for ease of reserving materials.
Fond du Lac Public Library operates two locations: the Main Library at 32 Sheboygan St. in downtown Fond du Lac, and FDLPL Express at 1132 E. Johnson St. near Festival Foods. At this time, the main library is open for curbside service only on weekdays, and in-person on weekends. Computer use is available by appointment.
For more information on either of these locations, visit fdlpl.org.
