Fond du Lac Artists’ Association will hold Membership Show at gallery

The Fond du Lac Area Artists’ Association will hold its annual Membership Show Wednesday, Nov. 1 through Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the Langdon Divers Community Gallery in the Fond du Lac Public Library.
The association’s Artist of the Year is Lawrence Kent, who specializes in wooden vases. Other members of the organization include Sandra Blank, Jayne Borst, Hailey Decarreau, Kirk Dille, Jeanne Gilbert, Dawn Heckenkamp-Macias, Karen Hoying, Patricia Kaiser, Larry Kent, Lynda Bacon Lawlis, Karla Martin, Roxine McQuitty, Teva McQuitty, Maureen Mezera, Vivian Mulholland, William L. Nettelhorst, Jessica Peters, Fran Schmid, Lasha Shurpit, Nancy Swenson, Sandra Uecker, Renee Waters, Chuck Wydeven.
An artist reception also is planned for Thursday, Nov. 9 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Langdon Divers Gallery.
The association was founded in 1968 and is currently in its 56th year. They are the group responsible for the formation of Art on the Island, which takes place every first Sunday in June at Lakeside Park. Next year, it will be held on June 2, 2024.
This is the 13th-annual member exhibit at the Langdon Divers Community Gallery by the Fond du Lac Artists’ Association.
The Langdon Divers Community Gallery is open seven days a week, whenever the Fond du Lac Public Library is open at 32 Sheboygan St. The gallery may be found off the atrium at the south entrance to the Main Library.
