Friends of FDLPL annual meeting will feature talk by local author
The Friends of the Fond du Lac Public Library will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, May 9 at 6 p.m. in the McLane Room at the library.
Speaker at this year’s annual meeting will be local author Darin Preston. Preston is a former school psychologist for the Fond du Lac School District and author of several books, including Sequence 77, which can be borrowed at the Fond du Lac Public Library. He will discuss his journey as an author at the event.
A brief business meeting will precede the talk. Refreshments will be provided.
The Friends of the Fond du Lac Library is a nonprofit organization that promotes and encourages the use of library services by fund-raising, supporting special events such as Fond du Lac Reads, and providing programs for the community.
In the past years, the Friends of the Fond du Lac Public Library have supported such initiatives as the Summer Reading Program.
The Friends board meets bimonthly at 5:30 pm the second Tuesday of the month. Annual meetings are held every May.
