Bring your ideas to life during May in the Idea Studio at the Fond du Lac Public Library. 

On Wednesday, May 1 at 6 p.m., join the Idea Studio’s first meetup to learn about the “Boomerang Bag” project that began in Australia in 2013. Watch a short TedX talk and receive a pattern for making bags. Get badged the Idea Studio’s sewing machines and serger as well. To participate, register at

Then, join either of two Let’s Make events:

  • On Monday, May 6 at 6 p.m., earn a badge for use of the Idea Studio’s Janome sewing machine to make an eye mask for sleeping to take home. For  ages 13 and over. Register required at
  • Or, on Monday, May 13 at 6 p.m., take the required training to earn a badge for use of the sublimation printer and heat press. Participants aso will get to make their own drink koozie to take home. For ages 13+. Register at

Prefer to create with paper? Join the Cut & Paste Club on Wednesday, May 22 to create Geometric Paper Collages. Learn how to make an easy geometric paper collage using a variety of different papers while following along with Lisa Congdon on the Creativebug website. No registration required.

The Idea Studio is open for walk-in visits Monday through Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
