I’ve been bitten by the Christmas bug!
By Joanne Mengel
All it took was one day of shopping with the girls this past weekend and I am now totally into getting the house decorated for the holidays. No tree yet, but very soon! This is early for me to be feeling so festive; I usually don’t start humming Christmas tunes until after Thanksgiving.
As with most things, everyone has different holiday decorating tastes. Some go the traditional route and proudly display their homemade ornaments from over the years, many made with popsicle sticks and yarn, but priceless in value. Others follow the latest trends, which appears to be gnomes this year as I see them everywhere.
Whatever your taste may be, sometimes it is nice to change it up a little. The library can help with that. We have many, many books loaded with holiday decorating ideas, even some by the decorating queen, Martha Stewart. I listed a few below, but there are so many more.Come and see what we have in stock, and maybe that Christmas bug will bite you too!
