The Fond du Lac Public Library has some sweet news: Because the community succeeded in reading more than 2 million minutes during the Summer Reading Program, the library will be giving away ice cream treats on Sunday, Aug. 22!

All told, participants in this year's Summer Reading Program read a whopping 2,205,723 minutes between June 1 and Aug. 15, completing an impressive 110% of the library's 2 million minute goal. Because the goal was reached, the library is ready to give away ice cream.

The first 400 visitors to the library at 32 Sheboygan St. may pick up a sweet treat on Sunday, Aug. 22 starting at noon outside the south entrance to the Fond du Lac Public Library. This free give-away will be held rain or shine, and will be moved inside the south entrance in the case of inclement weather.

Supplies will be limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis; limit one per person.

During the visit, be sure to watch for a visit from Browser, and learn more about upcoming events at the Fond du Lac Public Library.
