Processing Request
- Registration starts Oct. 24: Hemmed Napkins with Serger, 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Fond du Lac Public Library Idea Studio, 32 Sheboygan St. For adults and teens 13 and older; younger children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Learn how to use the serger to add a professional-looking hem to cloth napkins. Participants should bring fabric from home to make up to six napkins (one yard will make four 18x18 napkins). The fabric should be tight-weave, washable cotton, cotton blend or linen. Free. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Calendar, which includes information on supplies needed.
- Ukulele Club, 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Fond du Lac Public Library, 32 Sheboygan St. Informal, drop-in group for uke players of all ages and skill levels to learn songs, practice and share. BYO uke; a limited number of instruments is available to borrow during the meeting. Free. No registration.
- Registration starts Nov. 7: Custom Light Switch Plates (see photo), 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Fond du Lac Public Library Idea Studio, 32 Sheboygan St. Must be 18 or older. Design a custom light switch plate and create it using the laser cutter. Free. Supplies provided. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 7 at the Calendar.
- Press Club for Printmakers, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Fond du Lac Public Library Idea Studio, 32 Sheboygan St. The Press Club meets every third Wednesday to explore printing techniques and hear from guest speakers. November meeting: Holiday/winter/whatever card printing. Blocks and plates provided, or bring your own. No experience necessary. Free. No registration.
