The Fond du Lac Public Library has plenty of fun in store for the Saturday, September 7, downtown Fondue Fest. There will be something to do for all ages, and for more than one species:

  • Doggy Oasis, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. outdoors in the shaded walkway south of U.S. Bank, between Main and Portland streets. A happy, cool place, away from the hubbub, where furry friends and their owners are top dog. Includes free dog treats, water, free paw-print carabiner key chain and oasis photo booth. Just drop in; no registration required.
  • Cookbooks Sale, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (extended hours) at Chapter 52 Bookstore, 52 Sheboygan St. All cookbooks are buy one, get one free. While there, check out the shop’s used books, movies, music and magazines.
  • Author visit, 10 a.m. to noon at Chapter 52 Bookstore. Montello author Joy Ann Ribar will sell and sign copies of her new book, “Deep Dark Secrets” – the first in her Deep Lakes Cozy Mystery Series – which is set in Wisconsin. Free. No registration.
