Learn more about Collin “Doc” Aubery, a local man with a fascinating history, during May’s virtual History at Home program. The program will be shown Thursday, May 20 at 6 p.m. via Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/FDLPL.
From “Doc” smuggling himself onto a Civil War troop train at age 13 to being in Ford’s Theater when President Lincoln was shot, Doc Aubery’s story is unique. This program will be offered by Tracy Reinhardt of the Fond du Lac County Historical Society.
History at Home focuses on stories about the area's past every third Thursday of the month. The programs are free. Many History at Home programs are captured on video and shared on the library's YouTube channel. That link can be found at fdlpl.org/miss-program.
