Representatives from the Fond du Lac County Foster Care program will explain how foster families come together in a free program at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. Registration is not required.

Ashley Longsine and Jessica Perone, both with the Department of Social Services, will talk about the different types of foster families and the process of becoming a licensed foster parent. In addition, a foster family from the community will be on hand to share their experiences. There will be plenty of time for questions.

Longsine and Perone both have worked for Social Services for three years, currently as foster care coordinators. In their roles, they are the county’s primary foster family licensors.
