Wisconsin is known as the dairy state, but did you know that a key dairy business was based in Fond du Lac?

On Thursday, July 13 at 6 p.m., hear from Tracy Reinhardt of the Fond du Lac County Historical Society as she recalls the Damrow Brothers Co. during this month’s History at Home program in the Fond du Lac Public Library’s McLane Room.

Founded in 1904, the Damrow Brothers Co. was an integral part of the dairy industry from the start. The company became world leaders in the field of dairy equipment manufacturing.

Much of modern cheese making equipment was designed by E. C. Damrow, who founded the company with his brother, George Damrow.

During History at Home, learn about the company, its beginning and expansions, and some of the products that it manufactured.

History at Home programs focus on stories about the area's past every month. Programs are held on the second Thursday of every month at 6 pm in the McLane Room. The programs are free; no registration is necessary to attend. Those who are unable to attend in person may watch live via Facebook at Many History at Home programs also are captured on video and shared on the library's YouTube channel.
