Abida “Abby” Chaudhry will demonstrate how to make two desserts that are favorites in Pakistan: light and layered Mango Trifle and Sooji Halwa, a semolina-based pudding, at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Desserts of the World program 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 21. Desserts of the World takes place every third Tuesday of the month, when local and regional foodies will demonstrate and share recipes of desserts from different countries. Each program requires separate registration, which begins at 9:30 a.m. two weeks in advance of the program date. The upcoming schedule:

  • June 18: United States with Kim Girga
  • July 16: Spain with Gabriela Langholff
  • August 20: Haiti with Claudia Hawkins-Moise
