Digital dangers are everywhere online, but you can take simple steps to protect yourself.

During the Fond du Lac Public Library’s May 5 program, Choose Privacy, learn simple tips and best practices to protect your devices, your data and your identity online. Such steps could prevent a hacker from stealing your identity or money. 

This event will begin at 11 a.m. in the McLane Room. To participate, register starting April 21 at calendar.fdlpl.org.

This is just one of several programs scheduled for May to help individuals become more comfortable with technology.

Not sure how to use a computer or smartphone? Not comfortable with surfing the web?

A series of classes at the Fond du Lac Public Library during April will help.

During “A Beginner’s Guide to Smartphones,” learn how to use these highly mobile computers that have become an important part of daily life.
